Rub a dub dub...

...my three kids in the tub! This is the one and only time I have attempted this so far in the three months that Emmett has been with us. The bathroom turns into a bit of a "splash zone" with the older two, and truth be told, bathing newborns is not my favorite activity (they're so little and slippery and have no control of their body movements). So putting it all together really wasn't appealing to me at all. But we decided to give it a go, and it actually went really well. Sadie took on the complete responsibility of making Emmett clean and happy, a task for which she received an A+.

That's an empty bottle Canon has in his mouth...not that drinking bathwater is really allowed in this house, but better than you thinking I let my children drink soap.


That's a subtly happy face Emmett is wearing. He was gazing at Sadie as she poured water on him.


Whoa! A little close to the face.



And that's exactly what I told her not to do...but Emmett actually didn't tell us he minded too much.


Sadie is washing his feet here. Poor Emmett is probably wondering how hard his sister is going to pull on his leg.


What is it that is so tempting about bathwater?
